FAQs
What ages do you work with?
1
We work with children, teens, and adults. Services are tailored to each person's developmental stage, needs, and goals.
Do I need a referral?
2
No referral is required. You can contact us directly to book a consultation or your first counselling session.
What makes you different?
3
We provide a warm, collaborative, and individualized approach that recognizes each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Drawing from evidence-based practices, we strive to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
Is counselling covered by insurance?
4
Many extended health benefit plans cover counselling services. Coverage varies by provider and plan, so it's best to check with your insurance company to confirm your specific benefits. You can learn more about our rates and billing process here.
How often should I attend?
5
The frequency of sessions depends on your goals and needs. Many clients begin with weekly or bi-weekly sessions and adjust as they make progress.
What if I've never been to therapy before?
6
That's completely okay. Your first session is an opportunity to share what's bringing you in, ask questions, and determine whether counselling feels like a good fit for you. There is no pressure to know what you want or need from therapy before you begin.
